Dear Subscribers and Guests
The final podcast episode for 2023 will be out Monday 4th December and its going to ruffle some Christmas tinsel.
The topic is the Australian National Curriculum and my guests are:
Marty Ross, Founder of ‘Bad Mathematics’ and commentator on mathematics education.
Colleen Harkin, National Manager of Class Action Programs and Research Fellow at the Institute of Public Affairs.
Dr Bella D’Abrera, Researcher and author of the most recent study into teacher training - ‘Woke Ideology Trumps Core Literacy and Numeracy Teaching Skills’
You’ll hear how the National Curriculum has became the source of such anxiety for teachers, and what - if anything, we can do about it.
But that’s not what I need help with …
I know teachers are happy to engage in relationship education, yet the transgender ideology they are supposed to teach in several states (not all) is causing some teachers a massive moral dilemma. I know it has caused the resignation of at least four teachers who’ve contacted me.
Last week, I set in motion a Declaration that could, with enough support, help save Australia from falling into the society altering furnace of gender identity.
The Declaration of Biological Truth Australia is based on the UK Declaration initiated by psychologist and lawyer James Esses. The declaration purpose is …
To demonstrate to politicians, corporations and decision makers the strength of feeling that Australians have about the detrimental impact of gender identity ideology on society.
Just like the UK Declaration, the Australian Declaration covers four themes: Child Protection, Women’s Rights, Freedom of Speech and LGB Without The ‘T’.
There is special relevance for teachers in the Child Protection section:
No person should be compelled to affirm a child’s desire to transition.
Schools should teach children biological reality – that sex is binary and immutable, that nobody is born in the wrong body, and that gender dysphoria is a mental health condition.
Schools should never socially affirm a pupil or enable them to socially transition.
Another section is relevant to schools but also wider society:
Male athletes, or men who identify as women, should never compete in women’s or girl’s sports and athletics.
This declaration could act as a submission to parliament, an illustration of Australian sentiment to media, or evidence to state and federal politicians.
It also gives those who feel silenced in their ability to speak up on the issue the chance to have their voice heard.
Australians can sign Privately (their name won’t be public), Publicly (their name will be public) or as an Organisation. Signing is free. Members of an organisation can also sign as individuals.
How can you help?
It’s vital that the Declaration gets to as many eyes as possible, so sharing socially, telling others and of course signing is important. This is where you can help. There’s no need to share this Substack page. Sharing the Declaration page is far more important.

Thanks to everyone for subscribing and a special thanks to those who have donated in 2023. You (and I) know who you are and your help is really appreciated.
Enjoy your Christmas break everyone.
